AAGD's Legislative Committee is responsible for monitoring all proposed legislation by any governmental authority that would affect, directly or indirectly, the multifamily housing industry within the jurisdiction of the Association. The Committee supports state legislative committees by reviewing proposals, making recommendations concerning legislative matters, and supplying witnesses before legislative committees.
Additionally, this committee generates support for and opposition to specific legislative proposals either at local or state levels and reports legislative issues to the Board of Directors. This committee also administers funds raised through Political Action Committee (PAC) events.
